Margaret’s career spans theatre, film and television as dramaturg, script editor, writer and producer. Recent credits include story consultant on two artist filmmaker feature-length creative documentaries and executive producer on a range of debut features, which have travelled the international festival circuit, winning awards along the way.
Previous credits include co-editor with Ali Jaberansari on his debut feature, Falling Leaves, which premiered at Montreal International Film Festival 2013 and won Federico Fellini Award for best international newcomer at the Tiburon International Film Festival 2014, and co-writer on several international features, including Shadows in the Sun, best original screenplay at Houston Worldfest in 2009, and Aguas Mil, awarded best Portuguese feature at Indie Lisboa in 2009.
Margaret regularly consults on story and project development for EU Media-funded EKRAN at the Wajda School in Warsaw, Royal Film Commission in Jordan, and London’s Southern Exposure Film Fund. She has been a tutor for the Arvon Foundation (UK), consultant for éQuinox (EU), oversaw development through delivery of graduation films at London Film School (2008-13) and is currently a visiting lecturer at Regent’s University (UK).
Margaret has joined the 7th Heaven team at this exciting moment in its development as an influential partner in co-productions between Europe and the Middle East & North Africa region, and is currently story consultant on DAD…WHERE DID YOU GO?, a feature documentary co-directed by Zainab Al-Hariri and Maythem Ridha.
